Wireweave Ceramic Pendant Lamp Shade – Large in Peacock Glaze Finish

A small-batch, handmade ceramic pendant lamp shade with copper wire detailing, offering a refined and distinctive lighting feature.

Wheel-thrown and altered by hand to create a unique organic form. Following which a combination of layered glazes is applied to produce a distinctive surface pattern inspired by peacock feathers, giving the Wireweave Peacock range its name.

This piece is the largest of the Peacock range and features a rounded profile. The base glaze is a neutral, light mottled pink, fading to pale green-yellow at the rim. Other glazes are applied in combination, following a pattern with planned overlapping, resulting in a gorgeous combination of colours and textures as they melt together.

The copper wire detailing is applied entirely by hand, with each arrangement unique, adding subtle contrast and a warm glow when illuminated.

Each shade is wheel-thrown from midfire clay, an eco-friendlier choice that requires a shorter firing time and lower temperature than traditional stoneware to reach vitrification.

The signature Wireweave structure is created using pure copper wire, shaped entirely by hand. When illuminated, the light catches the copper and creates a striking, sculptural glow, adding depth, warmth, and a dramatic statement to any interior. Over time, the copper will develop a natural patina, though it can be gently polished if you prefer a brighter finish.
